Polymer/Rubber Industry Calibration Technicians
Our growing ISO 17025 accredited calibration division seeks more metrology professionals to calibrate and repair laboratory instruments and process controls for rubber & plastics industries. Our calibration laboratory is located 10 minutes west of Fort Wayne, IN.
Seeking calibration technicians with experience measuring the following properties:
- Current, Resistance, Voltage
- Duro, Hardness, Impact
- Flow, Viscosity / Viscoelastic Properties
- Force (Tension / Compression), Torque
- Height, Flatness, Length, Level, Angle
- Linear / Rotational Velocity
- Mass, Density
- Pressure, Vacuum
- Temperature Accuracy / Uniformity, Humidity
- Time, Frequency
To calibrate and repair laboratory instruments and process controls including:

- Abrasion Testers
- Brittleness Testers
- Cut & Chip Testers

Under minimal supervision, candidates are expected to:
- calibrate, repair, or perform preventive maintenance in accordance with defined procedures
- report conditions of nonconformance
- perform repairs required to return equipment to conformance
- travel to customer sites as required, expenses-paid, to perform services
Critical Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to accuracy
- Ability to carefully follow calibration procedures using calibration management software
- Two-year degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Travel
Ideal Training / Experience
- Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. military PMEL or AFMETCAL)
- Experience calibrating equipment in a lab environment and on-site
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and other quality assurance programs
- Familiarity with metrology tools and software
- Understanding of electrical and physical/dimensional principals
