Polymer/Rubber Industry Calibration Technicians

Our growing ISO 17025 accredited calibration division seeks more metrology professionals to calibrate and repair laboratory instruments and process controls for rubber & plastics industries. Our calibration laboratory is located 10 minutes west of Fort Wayne, IN.

Seeking calibration technicians with experience measuring the following properties:

Current, Resistance, Voltage
Duro, Hardness, Impact
Flow, Viscosity / Viscoelastic Properties
Force (Tension / Compression), Torque
Height, Flatness, Length, Level, Angle
Linear / Rotational Velocity
Mass, Density
Pressure, Vacuum
Temperature Accuracy / Uniformity, Humidity
Time, Frequency

To calibrate and repair laboratory instruments and process controls including:

Under minimal supervision, candidates are expected to:

calibrate, repair, or perform preventive maintenance in accordance with defined procedures
report conditions of nonconformance
perform repairs required to return equipment to conformance
travel to customer sites as required, expenses-paid, to perform services

Critical Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to accuracy
Ability to carefully follow calibration procedures using calibration management software
Two-year degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Travel

Ideal Training / Experience

Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. military PMEL or AFMETCAL)
Experience calibrating equipment in a lab environment and on-site
Familiarity with ISO 17025 and other quality assurance programs
Familiarity with metrology tools and software
Understanding of electrical and physical/dimensional principals
