Field Service Engineers: Electrical / Mechanical Calibration & Preventive Maintenance
Our growing field service division seeks more professionals to be responsible for instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of industrial, laboratory, and military analytical equipment. Our calibration laboratory is located 10 minutes west of Fort Wayne, IN.
Under minimal supervision, candidates are expected to:
- Calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with defined procedures
- Report conditions of nonconformance
- Perform repairs required to return the equipment to conformance.
- Travel to customer sites as required, expenses-paid, to perform services
Critical Requirements (must demonstrate)
- Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude
- Good problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematic, and logic diagrams
- PLC & computer literacy
- Ability to follow calibration and preventive maintenance procedures
- Two-year degree in a technical field (electro-mechanical) or equivalent technical experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ideal Training / Experience
- Experience calibrating & performing preventive maintenance on process control and measuring equipment
- Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. military PMEL or AFMETCAL)
- Formal training in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 and other quality assurance programs
- Understanding of electrical and physical/dimensional principals
- Experience using LabView software
