Our growing A2LA accredited calibration division seeks more metrology professionals to be responsible for instrument calibration and repair activities associated with measurement of industrial, laboratory, and military analytical equipment in the following disciplines:
Dimensional / Mechanical Calibration Technicians
Seeking entry-level and experienced technicians to perform depot and on-site calibration of pneumatic pressure, mass, scales, compression, tension, torque, tachometers, hardness, plastometers, velocity, extensometers, length, angle, diameter, flatness, parallel, surface finish, micrometers, gage blocks, surface plates, electronic level systems, calipers, height/depth, thread plugs, optical comparators, and other dimensional/mechanical measurement equipment; with opportunity to be cross-trained in other metrology disciplines.
DC & AC Low Frequency Electronic Calibration Technicians
Seeking experienced technicians to perform depot and on-site calibration of DC voltage, DC high-voltage, DC current, thermocouple indicators, RTD indicators, AC voltage, AC high-voltage, AC current, capacitance, inductance, resistance, pH, conductivity, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other electronic measurement equipment; with opportunity to be cross-trained in other metrology disciplines.
RF / AC High Frequency Electronic Calibration Technicians
Seeking experienced technicians to perform depot and on-site calibration of AC voltage, AC high-voltage, AC current, capacitance, inductance, resistance, oscilloscopes, and other electronic measurement equipment; with opportunity to be cross-trained in other metrology disciplines.
Under minimal supervision, candidates are expected to:
- calibrate, repair, or perform preventive maintenance on IM&TE in accordance with defined procedures
- report conditions of nonconformance
- perform repairs required to return the IM&TE to conformance.
- travel to customer sites as required, expenses-paid, to perform above services
Critical Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to accuracy
- Ability to carefully follow calibration procedures using calibration management software
- Two-year degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ideal Training / Experience
- Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. military PMEL or AFMETCAL)
- Experience calibrating equipment in a lab environment and on-site
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and other quality assurance programs
- Familiarity with metrology tools and software
- Understanding of electrical and physical/dimensional principals
